A select group of Bronx Lab students got the opportunity to travel to Ecuador to not only experience the culture and history of the people and the land but also to help an Otovalan school with a bit of renovation with a fresh coat of paint to the school walls. Students visited the rainforests to learn about indigenous flora and fauna from local guides and stayed with families that contributed to the Otovalan markets to learn first hand about market crafts. My role was logistics coordinator, curriculum planning and chaperone.
